THE MINISTRY EXTENDS SINCERE APPRECIATION TO THE SAINT LUCIA BUREAU OF STANDARDS FOR ITS ESSENTIAL ROLE IN ENSURING THAT OUR MEDICAL DEVICES MEET INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNIZED STANDARDS
As we join the global community in recognizing World Quality Day on November 14th under the theme “Quality: From Compliance to Performance,” the Ministry of Health affirms its commitment to improving quality as the cornerstone of effective healthcare delivery. This day serves as a reminder that achieving the highest levels of healthcare performance requires an unwavering focus on compliance, quality, and the integrity of the systems and equipment that support our services in the health sector.
The Ministry extends sincere appreciation to the Saint Lucia Bureau of Standards for its essential role in ensuring that our medical devices meet internationally recognized standards. Their ongoing work in the validation and calibration of medical equipment, ranging from scales to blood pressure monitors, in an effort to ensure that healthcare providers can rely on these tools to deliver accurate and effective patient care. This compliance assures both patients and practitioners that measurements taken during medical assessments are reliable and precise, which will further reinforce our collective drive towards performance excellence.
As we observe World Quality Day, we call on all health professionals, stakeholders, and the public to join us in celebrating the progress we have made in improving quality while remaining focused on advancing compliance initiatives that will strengthen the foundation of healthcare in Saint Lucia.
