THE SCHOLARSHIPS ARE FUNDED THROUGH DONATIONS AND FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES.

The National Community Foundation (NCF) has awarded thirty five full scholarships and four bursaries to students who were successful at the Caribbean Primary Exit Assessment (CPEA) formerly known as the Common Entrance Examinations.

These students were selected based on their vulnerability and on their achievement at the CPEA. The full scholarship covers all aspects of the students’ educational needs for an initial period of five years.  These include registration, uniforms, shoes, socks, books, examination fees and a termly allowance for meals and transportation.

These new scholarship holders will bring to one hundred and ninety six (196), the number of students who will be financially supported by the NCF for the 2023 to 2024 academic year.

For the past five years alone, the NCF has provided scholarships to eight hundred and thirty four (834) students at a cost of one million and three hundred and fifty Dollars ($1,000,350.00).

Apart from its scholarship programme the NCF’s other areas of focus are Medical assistance, Persons with Disabilities, the Homeless, Youth at Risk and Older Persons.

The NCF is able to offer such assistance because of donations received from the National Insurance Corporation, the Corporate sector, Organizations, Individuals and through fundraising activities.

The National Community Foundation is a philanthropic, non-profit, community based, nongovernmental organization that functions primarily as a grant making institution. The NCF was established in August 2002 and supports initiatives that engender self-development and social upliftment.
